A stranfler fig tree grows on the third eastern gopura of Ta Som temple, in Ankgor, Cambodia, on October 7, 2009. Ta Som is a small temple built at the end of the 12th century for King Jayavarman VII. Angkor used to be the seat of the Khmer empire, which flourished from approximately the ninth century to the thirteenth century. The ruins of Angkor temples are a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
